A Child's Brain on Stress: Teaching Children How to Create Mindful Moments in a Stressful World

This presentation will look at the effects of stress on children. We will briefly discuss what happens to the brain and a child's development during stressful moments, as well as identify behaviors that alert adults that children are experiencing stress. We will then learn how to teach children strategies using mindfulness and yoga that will help them find a calm, safe place in a stressful world.
