How comfortable are you with assessing suicide risk with youth? This internationally recognized suicide prevention intervention, QPR, has been shown to be highly effective in reducing suicide. QPR: Question, Persuade, Refer is a training that helps identify myths of suicide, addresses verbal, behavioral, and situational cues to be attentive towards, assists in learning how to ask the tough questions in a tactful way, improve how to persuade others to receive help, and then identify resources for those individuals who may be suffering. Much like CPR, QPR can build your confidence in your abilities to help save a life.
