Preparing STEM activities does NOT have to be time consuming and costly -- this session will introduce participants to fun and easy pre-built STEM activities and FREE resources that will elevate an afterschool program's STEM game to the next level. Toy developers have been hard at work creating options to teach concepts about electricity. In this session we will briefly learn how to teach with Snap Circuits, Electronic building blocks, Turing Tumble, and actual electronic components (batteries, buzzers and LEDs). For the second half of class participants will be encouraged to break into teams and play with types of STEAM toys on their own.
