Jacob is serving as the Regional Director of 3Strands Global Foundation for the entire state of Utah. His primary focus is to the be face, voice, and advocate for PROTECT Utah and its mission of human trafficking and exploitation prevention education. He oversees the implementation of the program across the state while focusing on relationship building, delivering school and non-profit staff training, as well as parent-specific training events as often as possible.

Jacob received his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Economics at Weber State University, following which he worked with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) as a field project implementation coordinator for various agricultural and environmental sustainability focused research projects around the world. He met his amazing and unbelievably inspiring wife while working on a project in Kenya. He then returned to complete his Master of Public Policy degree from Michigan State University, returning to Kenya at every opportunity and getting married the summer before the final year of his program. Jacob enjoys traveling to new places and greatly appreciates the beauty of the outdoors, particularly recreational activities which allow him to spend time enjoying the natural world. These specifically include a love for all types of fishing, backpacking into remote locations, observing and photographing wildlife, and visiting both state and national parks. He is a fan of books, logic, learning, debate, discovery, and any and all types of adventure he is privileged to enjoy sharing together with his beautiful wife.
